The Ohio CAT Agri Business Division has purchased the former Carter Lumber facility in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

The 6-acre site, which includes three buildings, will serve as the division’s sales, rentals, parts and service headquarters. While not fully operational until this summer, the facility will open in mid to late May.

Facility improvements and renovations will begin immediately.

Product lines sold and serviced by Ohio CAT’s Agri Business Division include Ag-Chem application equipment, Challenger wheel, track, and articulated tractors, Fendt tractors, Lexion combines, Massey Ferguson tractors for governmental applications and Sunflower tillage tools.

Jeff Lentz, agri business division sales manager, said, “We are excited about our expansion into Wyandot County. This critical location will fill the gap between our current locations in Troy, Columbus, Canton and Perrysburg, positioning Ohio CAT to provide a superior level of support for customers.”

Lentz further commented, “Our focus is on the professional producer, and Upper Sandusky is a major hub of Ohio agriculture production. I would expect to have inventory on the ground and ready for delivery by mid-May.”

Ken Taylor, Ohio CAT’s owner and president, said, “Both Ohio CAT and our supplier partners are committed to serving Ohio agriculture with premium products and parts and service support that is second to none. We expect to employ six people when we open, and then grow employment from there. We are anxious to become a vital part of the Upper Sandusky community, and we are pleased to be generating new employment in this important region of Ohio.”
