The latest enhancement by Vac•Con Inc. to its municipal, industrial and X-Cavator product lines is the launch of its new telescoping boom, known as Power Flex. The Power Flex boom has the ability to rotate up to 315 degrees, articulate up to 110 degrees and lift up to 34 ft. (10.3 m). The boom also telescopes out 8 ft. (2.4 m) for a reach of up to 28.5 ft. (8.6 m) from the truck, and is top-mounted on the debris tank, for front or rear positions. The flexibility of this new boom allows the customer to vacuum at multiple angles and levels for improved access to remote locations and improved maneuverability, especially in difficult work areas where positioning the truck is a problem. The boom can be outfitted on combination sewer cleaners, industrial machines and the X-Cavator product line.
