Construction Equipment Guide

RDO Equipment Co. and United Rentals Inc. jointly announced that United Rentals has acquired all of the shares of RDO Rental Co., a construction equipment rental operation located in the southwest. RDO Rental had been 80 percent owned by RDO Equipment. The acquisition completes a previously announced agreement. Terms were not disclosed.

RDO Rental has 12 locations in Arizona, southern California and southern Nevada. Its revenues for the 12 months ended Oct. 31, 1999 were approximately $27.6 million compared to $672.8 million for RDO Equipment.

RDO Equipment Co. operates the largest network of John Deere construction and agricultural equipment stores and Volvo and Mack truck centers in North America.
