Cable installers in Central Florida will no longer have to dig trenches under roadways and sidewalks to lay fiberoptic cables, now that Ringhaver has become a StraightLine dealer.

“These are directional drilling machines, on tracks,” said Tommy Ball, assistant sales manager for Ringhaver. “They drill four-inch round holes horizontally.”

Ringhaver will sell two models, the 2462 and the 910, “as well as other StraightLine products,” Ball said.

Headquartered in Riverview, near Tampa, Ringhaver has eight branches, carries a full line of Caterpillar equipment and employs more than 500 people. Ringhaver is the sister company of Ring Paving in North Florida.
