More than 3,000 bidders participated online and in person March 20 at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers’ multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in North East, Md.

Bidders came from 46 countries, including all 50 U.S. states. More than 85 percent of the equipment was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as Bolivia, Jordan and Singapore. Online bidders purchased 40 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

In total, more than 2,000 equipment items were sold in the auction, including crawler tractors, excavators, loader backhoes, articulated dump trucks and more.
