Close to 2,400 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros.' multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in Chicago, Ill., on Oct. 6.

Bidders came from 41 countries, including 48 U.S. states. Approximately 61 percent of the equipment was purchased by buyers from outside Illinois, from as far away as Greece, India and Japan. Online bidders purchased close to 54 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

More than 1,600 equipment items and trucks were sold in the auction, including excavators, loaders, skid steers, cranes, truck tractors, trailers and more.
