Rudd Equipment Company, the authorized Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) dealer for all or part of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, has reached an agreement with Volvo CE to assume the sales and marketing of Volvo road machinery products at its branches in Charleston, W.Va., and also in Pittsburgh and Clearfield, Pa. These branches have, for many years, provided sales and service of Volvo’s general purpose construction and compact equipment. The road machinery product line will include soil and asphalt compaction, Blaw-Knox and ABG paving, and milling and road maintenance equipment.

Rudd Equipment Company, headquartered in Louisville, Ky., now represents the complete line of Volvo CE’s construction equipment — wheel loaders, articulated haulers, excavators, compact equipment and compaction and paver road building machinery — at its branch operations in Charleston, Clearfield, and Pittsburgh. In addition to these locations in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, the company has sales and service facilities in Evansville, Fort Wayne, and Indianapolis, Ind., in Corbin, Louisville, and Prestonsburg, Ky., and in St. Louis, Mo.

The company will begin adding the Volvo road building equipment to its inventories in the new product market area immediately, and is fully equipped to provide complete parts, service, and financial support to its customers. Rudd Equipment Company also maintains its own parts freight system to provide 98 percent next-day availability to its customers.
