Schwing America has announced the expansion of its Material Handling Division headquartered in Danbury, CT.

The division will be responsible for the design, manufacturing and installation of mobile and stationary concrete mixing plants. In addition the material handling division will be responsible for the design and manufacturing of paste backfill mixing and placement equipment used in various mining applications.

Schwing America Inc. recently signed an exclusive agreement with BHS-Sonthofen of Germany to represent and promote its twin and single shaft mixers throughout the United States and Canada. BHS is well recognized as a producer of compulsory mixers worldwide.

The twin shaft mixer will be the cornerstone to Schwing’s marketing effort to ready-mix producers, pre-cast plants and the mining industry. BHS mixes faster and more thoroughly than conventional mixing technology. These mixers are natural companions in some applications to Schwing’s pumping technology.
