Sims Crane & Equipment, Florida's premier crane rental and rigging service company, has posted dramatic YouTube video of a Sims Crane team lifting a 450KW generator to the 18th floor of the BB&T building in Jacksonville, Fla.
Sims Crane client Zabatt Power Systems relied on Sims for a turn-key job including the crane and all equipment, a 3D lift plan, rigging, road closures and detours, and all personnel. Sims used a 450-ton Tadano All-Terrain crane for the job. The Sims team also removed an old generator unit before lifting the new unit into place via a window.
Also in Jacksonville, Sims Crane recently handled the lift of a 13,000-lb. air conditioning unit to the top of the historic Barnett Bank building in downtown, part of a major renovation and revitalization project. Local media covered the lift live.
