The SnowEx SP-1575 bulk pro spreader is practical for professional contractors who maintain roads, parking lots and driveways. It is designed to handle bulk materials, such as bulk (unbagged) salt, straight sand or sand/salt mixtures.
Built with a 5.25-cu.-ft. (.15 cu m) capacity hopper, the SP-1575 features a simple two-stage auger system that assures a positive, steady feed of material to the spinner without clogging and flow problems. Additionally, the vibrator/inverted-“V” flow system further facilitates bulk material movement.
The SP-1575 is entirely electric powered — meaning no engines to fuel and no pulleys, sprockets, belts or chains to maintain. The low-maintenance dual 12-volt electric drive/maximum torque transmission systems are completely sealed within a weather-resistant enclosure and the spreader connects to the vehicle with a heavy-duty non-combustible automotive style wiring harness.
As with the entire SnowEx line, the SP-1575 features a modular, powder-coated steel frame with a high-density, UV-protected poly material hopper. The poly construction eliminates the corrosion concerns and regular maintenance commonly associated with steel-built alternatives. Furthermore, the poly hopper is up to 40 percent lighter than similar capacity steel spreaders, freeing up vehicle payload and increasing gas mileage, according to the manufacturer.
The digital cab-mounted spinner/auger control allows for independent spinner speed and auger speed adjustment. By being able to adjust how fast material leaves the hopper and how fast the spinner propels it, virtually any application demand can be met while minimizing material waste. Spread width is infinitely variable up to 30 ft. (9 m).
Two-inch (5 cm) receiver mount and three-point mount hitches are integrated into the SP-1575’s frame. Other standard features include a ¼-in. (.6 cm) steel-rod constructed top screen and fitted lid cover.
