In late March, Stephenson Equipment had nearly 200 participants at its Butler, Pa., location in Prospect, Pa., where they were able to take part in various learning sessions and perform actual paving with the equipment Stephenson had on hand.

The event put on by Stephenson Equipment and two of its main paving equipment manufacturers — LeeBoy and BOMAG — gives SEI's paving customers an opportunity to bring their crews to get hands-on learning as well as other job-related tips and tricks like participants favorites paver maintenance from SEI's own Ronnie Hoffman, and rolling techniques from BOMAG's Tom Scalia.

A few customers in attendance were willing to go in front of the camera and tell their experience at the event and why they have their crews in attendance.

Attendees were treated to coffee and donuts when they arrived and a good lunch midway through the day. It was a full day with paving companies broken into several groups, and after an hour or so of learning they would move on to a different aspect of the paving process.
