Stone Construction Equipment Inc. has been recognized as the winner of The Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award by the New York State Psychological Association. The specific award is the For Profit Small Company category. It recognizes companies who create programs and maintain an environment that promotes a psychologically healthy workplace.

Stone was evaluated for the award in the following areas: employee involvement, employee growth and development, employee recognition, work life balance — family support, health and safety, and communications.

“Our culture of trust, respect, communication and development, along with the highly participatory environment we foster, were the key influences in being chosen. The judges who visited us were blown away by our environment, our culture and the uniqueness of how we do what we do,” Lynne Woodworth, president and CEO said on making the award announcement to the employees.

Winners were honored at a ceremony in New York City on June 17. Winners also were automatically entered for consideration in the national psychologically healthy workplace program.
