Takeuchi officials gathered in October for a ceremonial groundbreaking for the company’s new corporate office and distribution center in Jefferson, Georgia.

The new facility will be Takeuchi’s eighth expansion in the Atlanta area in as many years.

Completion is slated for February 2006, marking Takeuchi’s 27th anniversary in the US.

Located on 34 acres at Valentine Industrial Park, the 250,000-sq.-ft. facility will feature a 60 percent increase in equipment distribution capacity, 60 percent increase in parts distribution, a new training facility and on the same property, future expansion for an additional 250,000-sq.-ft. facility.

“The compact excavator and rubber track loader industry has demonstrated explosive growth over the last five years and we see this trend continuing. Takeuchi is committed to maintaining high levels of customer service and this investment will allow us to meet our customer’s needs and plan for future growth in our product lines,” said Clay Eubanks, president of Takeuchi US.
