April 29, 2011 - National Edition
Construction Equipment Guide

Designed with narrower dimensions and a tighter turning radius, the new Terex TA2H, TA2SH, TA3H and TA3SH site dumpers have enhanced maneuverability to work efficiently in tight places. Terex site dumpers are matched to the bucket capacity of a mini excavator and are ideally suited for congested job sites and the rental market, according to the manufacturer.

The new hydrostatic transmissions on these Terex dumpers drive through a new drop box and axles, providing smooth, clutch-less operation. And, operators can now select the dumpers’ directional drive through the steering column-mounted lever for exceptional ease of use.

• TA2H 4,410 lb. (2,000 kg) capacity, forward tip — hydrostatic transmission

• TA2SH 4,410 lb. (2,000 kg) capacity, swivel tip — hydrostatic transmission

• TA3H 6,610 lb. (3,000 kg) capacity, forward tip — hydrostatic transmission

• TA3SH 6,610 lb. (3,000 kg) capacity, swivel tip — hydrostatic transmission

The new TA2H and TA2SH both use a drivetrain combined with a 32.6-hp (24.5 kW) EPA interim Tier IV-compliant Kubota water-cooled diesel engine and boast a 1.57 cu. yd. (1.2 cu m) heaped skip capacity.

The TA3H and TA3SH models are equipped with a 43.2-hp (32.4 kW) water-cooled diesel engine for enhanced productivity. The TA3H boasts a 2.55 cu. yd. (1.9 cu m) heaped skip capacity, and the TA3SH claims a 2.45 cu. yd. (1.8 cu m) heaped skip capacity.

Terex hydrostatic dumpers come standard with a gas strut-operated folding ROPS frame for simple operation and a plastic leg guard to protect drivers from job site debris. All Terex dumpers incorporate easy access to the operator’s position from either side of the unit. Also, Terex dumpers are designed to give operators easy access to the engine compartment.
