Rayco’s C160, an evolution of the company’s purpose-built mulcher line, features a 160 hp diesel engine, a large cab with side-entry door, an impressive mulcher lift height and a hi-track undercarriage. The C160 weighs less than 18,000 lbs. (8,164 kg) and has an overall width of just 83 in. (211 cm), making it easy to transport and nimble enough for operation on jobs where larger mulchers just don’t work, according to the manufacturer.

The C160 rides on a hi-track steel undercarriage with 2-speed travel. The hi-track design promotes longer track life by reducing debris packing in the track chain and keeps the drive components out of the hi-impact areas. Powerful final drives provide torque for climbing hills and allow the C160 to maneuver easily in difficult terrain.

Because it’s purpose-built, the C160 is loaded with features operators appreciate. Loader-style lift arms provide a mulcher lift height of 8-ft. (2.4 m), making it easier for mulching taller vegetation. The spacious cab is equipped with a heated, air-ride suspension seat, and the rear fan is auto-reversing, reducing maintenance time. All gauges and controls are located on a large LCD display that includes a rearview camera.
