The PFMU family of hoses is branded with “Pirtektor Cover” along the lay line of the hose. “Pirtektor” is the PIRTEK brand name for high pressure hoses that have specific compounds added to the rubber cover at the time of manufacture. This increases abrasion resistance of the PIRTEK PFMU hoses and extends the life of the hose on equipment.
The “Pirtektor Cover” hoses have been extensively tested and compared to other hoses with a standard cover. The test results show that the “Pirtektor Cover” is up to 13 times more resistant to abrasion than a standard hose cover, according to the manufacturer.
