Construction Equipment Guide

The model 255 skid steer loader from Thomas offers more than 7,000 lbs. (3,175 kg) of breakout force and a rated lift capacity of 2,500 lbs. (1,134 kg).

An optional counterweight kit increases the loaders rated lift capacity to 2,600 lbs. (1,179 kg).

Power is provided by a Kubota turbocharged diesel that produces more than 87.4 hp (65.2 kw).

With its 48.8-in. (123.8 cm) wheelbase and travel speeds up to 12.3 mph (19.8 kmh), smooth, stable, flat-footed performance and quick cycle times are taken in stride.

For efficient attachment operation, the loader’s standard auxiliary hydraulic system puts out more than 21 gpm (79.5 Lpm).

For high performance attachment operation, an optional high-flow hydraulic system is available, which produces 40 gpm (151.4 Lpm) or more than 70 hydraulic horsepower.
