Stafford has selected Tom Morningstar to be the company’s vice president of product support.

Morningstar will be based in the Lawrenceville, GA, branch and is responsible for overseeing parts and service operations for all of Stafford’s nine locations.

Morningstar brings a solid history of product support knowledge, specific to the construction equipment industry, during which he was responsible for ensuring quality after sale support to multiple branch locations across the Southeast, with TRAX Inc., LB Smith and ASC.

“I am very excited about joining Stafford and overseeing the parts and service operations,” he said. “Stafford has a keen interest in providing quality product support to its customers, which is why I decided to join the organization.”

Stafford President and CEO John Wall said, “We’re very happy to have Tom Morningstar on board. With more than 35 years of experience in this industry, Tom knows what it takes to provide the type of product support that customers expect.

“The most important thing we do is take care of our customers before and after the sale. Tom shares our philosophy and knows how to make it happen.”

Stafford has enhanced its product support capabilities by adding key product support personnel and service technicians to each of its nine locations. In addition, Stafford increased the size of its service truck fleet by 25 percent in the first six months of 2006.

According to Wall, “Many dealers can talk about product support, but we’ve invested heavily in this area with the intention of providing our customers with the best support in the industry and increasing our presence across the Southeast. Whether one of our customers buys a machine in Virginia, or south Georgia, our goal is to make their experience the same – 100 percent satisfaction.”
