On March 25, 2004, Tracey Road Equipment held a paving seminar at its facility in Syracuse, NY.

Larry Spring and John Herman, both of Ingersoll-Rand, shared with attendees their wealth of paving experience and answered topical questions. The event, which was designed to be both friendly and non-sales oriented, provided local contractors and municipalities with the opportunity to learn about subjects such as how to attain desired paving density; screed heating; and the latest techniques in paving productivity, density and smoothness.

Tracey Road Equipment also provided a show and demonstration area where attendees could check out or test drive a variety of pavers and paving related equipment, which the company carries, such as Blaw-Knox, Ingersoll-Rand, Broce, Etnyre, Freightliner trucks, Western Star trucks, Interstate trailers, Kawasaki, Kobelco, Marini, New Holland, Red River, and more.

Some of the contractors and municipalities in attendance included Barrett Paving, City of Syracuse DPW, Oswego County DPW, Hanson, Onondaga County DPW, NYS Thruway Authority, Ruston Paving, Suit-Kote, Seneca County DPW, Town of Clay Highway Dept and Lanco.

Tracey Road Equipment, founded in 1976, is family owned and still operated on a day-to-day basis by its founder, Jerry Tracey. Tracey Road Equipment carries an extensive line of trucks and truck equipment, and paving, municipal and excavating equipment. The company has locations in Syracuse, Binghamton, Watertown and Albany.
