In early April, Tracey Road Equipment opened a new branch office in Rochester, NY. This new facility is the company’s fifth full-service location and marked the first move westward in New York State since Tracey’s founding in Syracuse 30 years ago.

“It’s the next logical step in our growth,” said company President Jerry Tracey. “We have locations serving all of central and eastern New York north of the city. Our new store in Henrietta will allow us to offer broader and more efficient service to customers in western New York.”

Tracey’s new location at 300 Middle Rd. in Henrietta (formerly Genesee Truck Sales) is located just off the NYS Thruway near the 390 interchange. The store features modern service facilities for construction equipment and trucks, a large parts warehouse, administrative offices and a new distribution point for Tracey’s rental operation — one of the largest in the northeast.

“We pride ourselves on having one of the most diverse fleets of rental equipment in the industry,” said Scott Collins, vice president of sales and marketing. “We represent some of the biggest names in the business and have grown our rental business dramatically in the past decade focusing on offering a diverse fleet of newer model equipment at competitive rates.”

Tracey Road Equipment also is an award-winning Freightliner Truck dealer serving much of eastern and northern New York State, and the company will represent the full line of Freightliner-related products at its new Rochester location.

In addition to Freightliner, Western Star and Sterling trucks, Tracey also is the regional representative of Oshkosh and Unimog trucks.

“We’ve developed an incredible following over the past 30 years having custom built thousands of trucks for contractors and municipalities,” said Tracey. “We’re very excited about our expansion into western New York and look forward to building the same business relationships we enjoy elsewhere in New York with the contractors and municipalities throughout the region.”
