Tracey Road Equipment has strengthened its leadership team with the addition of Brian Slavinski as general manager of Pennsylvania, overseeing sales and operations across the company's four locations in throughout the state.

Based in northeastern Pennsylvania, Slavinski brings more than 25 years of sales and leadership experience, including 15 years of experience in the construction equipment industry, along with extensive OEM experience spanning both the United States and Canada. In his new role, he is responsible for all aspects of Tracey Road Equipment's Pennsylvania operations, including sales, parts, service, staffing, facilities and long-term growth strategy.

Slavinski's career in the construction industry began at a family-owned construction equipment dealership in northeastern Pennsylvania. During that time, he developed deep relationships with contractors, municipalities and dealers and gained firsthand experience with the day-to-day realities of equipment ownership and jobsite demands. He shared that this experience was a key part of developing his success and reputation within the industry.

That reputation led him to the OEM side of the industry, first joining the Yanmar Compact Equipment team as business development manager for the Northeast. He later transitioned to Hyundai Construction Equipment, where he helped launch and grow the brand's HX Series compact equipment lineup and ultimately managed a full-line territory across the Northeastern United States. At various points, his responsibilities extended across half of Canada and large portions of the United States, giving him a broad perspective on dealer operations, market development and customer support.

During his time with Hyundai, Slavinski first worked closely with Tracey Road Equipment and company president, Jerry Tracey. While he initially had no plans to return to the retail side of the business, Tracey Road's operational model, culture and long-term vision consistently stood out.

"From the outside, you could see that their New York operation worked — and worked exceptionally well," Slavinski said. "They have strong processes, long-tenured employees, unmatched customer relationships, and a true family atmosphere. That combination is rare, and it's powerful."

As Tracey Road Equipment expanded rapidly across Pennsylvania, the opportunity arose for Slavinski to help be a part of that growth. He officially joined the company early in 2026 and now oversees locations in Wilkes-Barre; Zelienople, near Pittsburgh; Dubois, serving central Pennsylvania; and McKean, just outside Erie.

Tracey Road Equipment, now celebrating its 50th year in business, is a diversified dealership with a strong presence in construction equipment, trucks, trailers and municipal equipment. The company represents a wide range of manufacturers across its footprint, including excavators, compact equipment, rollers, crushing and screening equipment, trailers, hydro excavation trucks and specialty municipal solutions. Its balanced approach — spanning construction, trucking and municipal markets — has long been a defining strength, the company said.

Slavinski emphasized that Tracey Road's commitment to Pennsylvania is long-term and substantial, backed by significant investment in people, facilities, service infrastructure and rental fleets.

"We are here to stay," he said. "We're investing in buildings, service trucks, technicians, parts inventory and local teams. Our goal is to build the same reputation in Pennsylvania that Tracey Road has earned over decades in New York. Nobody does what we do, the way that we do it."

A major focus of his role is expanding service and product support — an area he believes ultimately defines a dealership's value to its customers. Tracey Road Equipment has deployed a large fleet of fully equipped service trucks across Pennsylvania from its locations, each representing a major investment, and continues to grow its technician workforce while building relationships with technical schools to support future staffing needs. Slavinski emphasized, "Our team brings extensive experience with service, sales, parts, and rentals in the truck and construction equipment market."

"No matter what brand you buy, machines break — and they only break when you're using them," Slavinski said. "What matters most is the dealership standing behind that machine. That's where Tracey Road excels."

He also praised the company's culture, noting its emphasis on teamwork, accountability and relationships — values that are on full display during Tracey Road's well-known annual open house and customer events in Syracuse, N.Y., he said, which attract thousands of attendees each year.

"Tracey Road works hard, plays hard and wins as a team," he added. "I couldn't be more excited to be part of this organization and to help lead the next phase of growth in Pennsylvania." CEG
