The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has prepared a proposed amendment to work on the Mariner 2 East Pipeline during the summer months along Raystown Lake, Pa.

In a release, officials said due to "unforeseen changes in the Project construction schedule," they feel the proposed amendment is necessary.

The amendment asks for certain construction activities to take place in defined timeframes during the summer months at Raystown Lake.

Previously, both sides entered into an agreement not perform any work between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Officials said the amendment will not interfere the U.S. Army's Corps mission of providing for the public's recreation and enjoyment at Raystown Lake.
