Used Equipment Manager of 5 Star Equipment, Andrew F. Sienko, Dies

Andrew F. Sienko Sr., 57, of Hallstead, Pa., died unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary Kathleen Sine Sienko and three children Sarah, Andrew and Emily. He was an avid outdoorsman, golfer and family man.

Sienko was used equipment manager at 5 Star Equipment for 13 years following positions as sales representative and branch manager. He was well known and highly respected by his peers in the used equipment world.

Sienko was an active participant in the design of John Deere’s innovative Equipment Remarketing System and Deere corporate team members praised his work as “visionary” in the early development of the Remarketing Program. He was a continuing participant in this corporate program and applied its valuable concepts to his home dealership, 5 Star Equipment.

Sienko served his country with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. He continued service to his country through involvement with veteran support organizations on the home front. Most recently he supported the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) program which provides emotional and financial support for families of fallen soldiers.

Donations will support his two nieces who are running the 2007 Marine Corps Marathon on Oct. 28. Please mention that your contribution is made in the name of Andrew F. Sienko.
