The Cat 308E2 offers a spacious operator environment with ample ingress and egress room and generous leg room. All the E Series models are equipped with a digital control panel that is specially designed for Cat mini excavators - COMPASS - Complete Operation, Maintenance, Performance, and Security System. Built into the COMPASS monitor are an anti-theft system, which requires a five-digit alphanumeric password to start the machine, and an Economy Mode feature that can lower fuel use by up to 20 percent. An automatic engine-idle system drops engine rpm to idle after 4 seconds of inactivity.
