Vac•Con Unveils Power Flex Boom

July 16, 2012 - National Edition
Construction Equipment Guide

Vac•Con Inc. unveiled the latest enhancement to its municipal, industrial and X-Cavator product lines when it announced its new telescoping boom, known as Power Flex.

The boom has the ability to rotate up to 315 degrees, articulate up to 110 degrees and lift up to 34 ft. (10 m). The boom also telescopes out 8 ft. (2 m) for a reach of up to 28.5 ft. (8.6 m) from the truck and is top-mounted on the debris tank for front or rear positions.

The flexibility of this new boom allows the customer to vacuum at multiple angles and levels for improved access to remote locations and improved maneuverability, especially in difficult work areas where positioning the truck is a problem, according to the manufacturer.

The new Power Flex boom was developed over the past several months and the first unit was recently installed on an X-Cavator built for Vac•Con customers in Everett, Wash.

Vac•Con, Inc. has put together a short, three-minute product demonstration video. To view the product demonstration video, visit http://bit.ly/MbFHWd.
