Volvo CE Acquires Wolverine Tractor & Equipment Co.

Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has acquired Wolverine Tractor & Equipment Company, its authorized dealer for the state of Michigan.

Under the new ownership, the company will continue to operate under the Wolverine name from its present sales and services branches located in Detroit, Brighton, Byron Center, Casco, Holt, and Grand Rapids. Company headquarters will remain in Southfield, Mich. Wolverine was appointed the exclusive dealer for Volvo CE in Michigan in 2004.

“Wolverine has been a major dealer of construction equipment in Michigan for many years and has a tradition of strong service and care for customers,” Dennis R. Slagle, president and chief executive officer, Volvo Construction Equipment North America, Asheville, said.

“We intend to provide the support and resource required by Wolverine’s management team led by Ric Simon and Dave Sinay to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and stable growth.”
