Volvo Construction Inc. (Volvo CE Rents), has opened two equipment rental centers in the metropolitan Philadelphia, PA, area.

Wenner Equipment Inc., 1309 Wilmington Pike, West Chester, PA, and Ballantine Industrial Truck Service Inc., 1250 Wood Lane, Langhorne, PA, and their principals, John S. Wenner and Robert Mannherz, respectively, have opened Volvo CE Rents centers and are in full operation in their cities.

The new equipment rental centers are independently-owned and operated Volvo Construction Equipment Rents franchises. The centers carry, in addition to Volvo construction equipment, a comprehensive line of essential equipment and tools for the construction, commercial, industrial and homeowner markets. Principal Volvo products for its equipment rental franchises include the company’s compact excavators and wheel loaders and backhoe and skid steer loaders.

The Volvo CE Rents program covers all aspects of an operating rental business model and was designed and developed by Volvo Construction Equipment Rents Inc., for a specific and unique market in the equipment rental business. Program features include use of the Volvo brand, financial assistance, a fleet purchasing program for non-Volvo products, a Volvo proprietary software program, training, facility design, safety training and procedures and regional and local marketing.

Volvo CE Rents, which began its franchise equipment rental initiative in 2001, has rental centers open in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, California, Tennessee, Ohio, Louisiana, South Carolina, New York, Minnesota, Arkansas, New Jersey, Alabama, Kentucky and Pennsylvania.

In addition to these franchises now in operation, the company has franchise development agreements in place with other North America business interests for 38 future locations.

Volvo CE Rents, which recently opened its third rental center in Ireland, has franchises now in operation in Europe and development agreements in progress for rental centers in Spain.
