Denver voters have approved $431 million to fund transportation and infrastructure improvements, with $101 million slated for repaving the city's roads, replacing sidewalks and fixing gutters, ABC 7 reported.

"For people in Denver, living in Denver, they will benefit from it, there's no question about it," said Andrew Goetz, Denver University professor and transportation guru. "These are things you have to do."

Here is a breakdown of what the majority of the funds will cover:

• $30 million for sidewalk repairs;
• $27 million for improvements to 56th Avenue;
• $23 million for construction on Washington Street;
• $20 million for improvements to the Colfax corridor;
• $18 million for bicycle infrastructure across the city; and
• $55 million for a "rapid bus transit" program in the Colfax corridor.
