Perimeter Bobcat/Ingersoll-Rand of Atlanta has recently added to its staff and has announced promotions of key personnel. Perimeter Bobcat has been recognized as a consistent leader in sales and service of Bobcat equipment.
With the addition of Ingersoll-Rand (IR) products in the past couple of years, the company has added highly skilled Ingersoll-Rand specialists to complement its existing staff of Bobcat personnel, as well as rewarding top performers with promotions.
Perimeter Bobcat/Ingersoll Rand of Atlanta is, for all practical purposes, an operation within an operation. The company recognized an opportunity to enhance its presence in the marketplace with the addition of Ingersoll-Rand specialists.
Sales Manager Craig Neal stated, “We’re not compromising by having a business within a business. This just gives us a stronger launch pad to introduce new products and services, such as Bobcat’s new all-wheel steer mini-track loader and compact backhoe loader.”
The company’s Atlanta headquarters has announced that Dave Foster will head up the entire Perimeter Bobcat/Ingersoll Rand of Atlanta operation as vice president-general manager. Foster has a diverse background in financial management positions with several Fortune 500 manufacturing companies, where he held the position of controller.
He has been on a fast track with Perimeter for approximately a year and half and previously held the position of controller. He has handled managerial roles with sales organizations and operations for more than 17 years.
Additions to the Ingersoll-Rand of Atlanta staff at the company’s Atlanta headquarters include Sales Representatives Lee Barnes and Brian Gregg. Barnes previously worked for Burch-Lowe and brings with him more than six years of experience in IR equipment sales. Gregg has a mining engineering background, and was previously with IR in the northeast for more than a year.
Randy Thomas has been named parts manager. Thomas has more than 30 years of experience in the equipment industry and comes from Burch-Lowe where, for the past 16 years, he specialized in IR products.
David Clough has joined the company as service manager. Clough has more than 20 years in the construction and utility work industry, and comes from Burch-Lowe where he spent the past five years working exclusively with IR products.
New service technicians at the facility include Tommy Maxwell, Tommy Bruce, Joseph Henry and Mitch Anderson.
At the Gainesville branch, Phil Bowen has joined the company as branch manager, with more than 27 years of experience in the industry. He comes from Burch-Lowe where he was business manager of the company’s Tunnel Hill location. He was later promoted to the position of vice president of operations and moved to the company’s Atlanta headquarters.
At the Marietta branch, Eric Peabody has been promoted to branch manager. He previously worked as sales coordinator at the Marietta location and has more than 17 years of experience in sales and management in the construction products and material handling industry.
According to Foster, the company is “developing a product support team that will ascertain the needs for future growth for aftermarket support, parts, service and rentals. This will also give us an idea of what geographic areas we need to look at when considering opening new branches.
“With respect to the Ingersoll-Rand service and support, we’ve tapped in to the experience that was a part of the team at Burch-Lowe and have brought on several of their highly trained mechanics and other key guys that have many years of experience on the Ingersoll-Rand product line. We feel that we have obtained the top three drilling specialists in the state of Georgia to service that industry, and are excited to have a dedicated Ingersoll-Rand parts manager and service manager that have many years of experience between them to help drive the growth of our Ingersoll-Rand line in the years to come.
“I’m very excited about the growth opportunities and the support we get from the Ingersoll-Rand Company and Bobcat. With the integration of Ingersoll-Rand of Atlanta, as well as our efforts to expand our coverage of the existing Bobcat customers, we’ve doubled the size of our field service fleet with experienced technicians who are able to work on both Bobcat and Ingersoll-Rand equipment, he added.
The company has expanded its rental fleet to include IR telescopic handlers, compaction equipment, generators, and compressors, which enables it to offer a bigger package than it has in the past and to give its customers a one-stop shop. Perimeter Bobcat also has Bobcat-branded portable power and generators and small compaction equipment, geared towards the Bobcat customer, added Foster.
Perimeter Bobcat/Ingersoll Rand of Atlanta has four branches located in Atlanta, Conley, Gainesville and Marietta.
