Caterpillar Inc. officials dedicated Bountiful Valley Farm at Disney’s California Adventure Park in Anaheim,CA. A key attraction at the new 55-acre theme park, Bountiful Valley Farm brings together the educational fun of Disney with Caterpillar’s product innovations for farming.

A focal point of the farm is the Caterpillar tractor yard, where a Challenger 55 and a Challenger 95E will be on display. Exhibit plaques explain the tractors’ role in farming and provide general information about the tractors’ operation.

Guests will actually be able to climb into the cab of the 95E, so they can see first-hand the sophisticated controls and monitors farmers use to operate their equipment. An antique Cat tractor on display will allow comparison of early technology with advances in modern farming. Select Caterpillar merchandise and toys are available for purchase as well.

A Cat 226 skid steer loader, positioned among trees in an orange grove, represents the variety of material handling equipment used in agriculture. While many producers use this type of equipment to haul feed and perform maintenance, this machine will be fitted with forks to carry orange crates. Moving water and irrigation is vital to growing a successful crop. Bountiful Valley Farm visitors will see a simulated display of Cat power at work in the form of a Cat 3176 engine at an irrigation pipe water play area. Children can play in water sprayed by leaky pipes, a water maze, standing water pipes and a duster arm.
