A recent video on the internet is showing that while most of the time, construction workers are considered tough, no-nonsense types, occasionally they show a softer side.

Vivian Keith, a two and a half year old who has been diagnosed with leukemia, enjoys watching people from her window in the St. Louis Children’s hospital. Her mother and her would often wave to the construction workers across the street in an effort to interact with the world outside of the hospital. They would often wave to the workers until a worker waved back.

One day, Vivian woke up and looked out her window to find a special message from the workers:
