Fox News New York is reporting that The FDNY says one person is dead after a construction accident at E. 44th St. and 2nd Ave. in Manhattan.

The victim became trapped when a boom crane collapsed onto a truck just before Noon.

Rescue crews were able to unpin the victim but it was too late to save them.

It was also unclear if the victim was a contractor or a pedestrian.

The incident appeared to involve a truck from Yonkers based Kenry Contracting Inc.
