EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - A crane has toppled over at an East Lansing construction site, smashing an empty portable toilet and part of a fence.

East Lansing Police Sgt. James Campbell tells the Lansing State Journal that the machine was loading a pallet of wood when it tipped over early Wednesday afternoon.

The crane also fell on an excavator. No one was injured.

DTN Management vice president Colin Cronin says internal load balancers on the crane appear to have stopped working. DTN Management is the developer of the four-story building that will feature commercial space and apartments.

WILX-TV reports that the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident.
