The line of Geith mini excavator (MX) attachments has expanded with the launch of a new line of mini excavator couplers. The Geith mechanical MX coupler is designed to fit mini excavators from 4,000 to 12,000 lbs. (1,814 to 5,443 kg) with pin diameters from 1.2 to 1.7 in. (3 to 4.5 cm).

A three step operation allows this pin-grab style coupler to increase work-site productivity without sacrificing operator safety:

1. Engage coupler hook onto leading pin of bucket and curl in the coupler.

2. Lock the attachment into place by turning the locking nut with the tool provided.

3. Turn the integrated safety pin to the locked position.

The integrated safety pin provides additional operator safety by serving as a secondary locking mechanism that cannot be lost or thrown away. In addition, Geith mechanical MX couplers feature a custom OEM pin grab mechanism design to fit attachments designed for each carrier model. As an added benefit, the MX coupler allows the bucket to be reversed and used in a shovel position. Finally the coupler is engineered with efficiency in mind; by maintaining a narrow throat height, digging force is maximized.
