GUCA Hosts Industry Meeting at Jock n’ Jills in Macon

Georgia Utility Contractors Association Inc. (GUCA) held an area industry meeting at Jocks n’ Jills in Macon, Ga., on Nov. 13. Thirty-seven contractors, vendors and guests were in attendance for this industry dinner meeting.

Gary Mason, Georgia Public Service Commission gave a presentation on “Damage Prevention, Large Project Ticket Process and New PRIS Codes.” GUCA members and guests also were addressed by GUCA President Ricky Harp, Richard Harp Excavation Inc. and GUCA Executive Director Vikki McReynolds.

GUCA members and guests were updated on upcoming events, safety classes, legislative issues and industry issues, as well as GUCA membership and the benefits provided to GUCA members.

GUCA contractor members in attendance included: Archer Western Contractors LTD; Sam Hall & Sons Inc.; and Richard Harp Excavation Inc.

GUCA associate members in attendance included: The Blue Book of Building & Construction; Clayton County Water Authority; Ferguson Waterworks; Godwin Pumps; Graham-Naylor Agency Inc.; H & H Insurance Services Inc.; HD Supply Waterworks; Iron Planet; Maxwell Systems Inc.; METRAC; Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers; and, Thompson Pump & Mfg. Co. Inc.

Invited GUCA guests in attendance were Carpenter Construction and the Georgia Public Service Commission.

The next GUCA Industry meeting will be the GUCA East Georgia Industry Meeting to be held in Augusta, Ga., on Jan. 15, 2009.
