IAAP, Caterpillar to Host Heavy Equipment Safety Seminar

Construction Equipment Guide

The Illinois Association of Aggregate Producers (IAAP), in conjunction with Caterpillar, will conduct a training seminar on Nov. 2 and 3 designed to help employees understand safe work habits and recognize unsafe conditions when using heavy equipment. This seminar will include:

• Tire Safety Fundamentals

• Areas of Vision Around Heavy Equipment

• Pre-Shift Inspections

• Caterpillar Safety Training and Resources

• Tie Off Procedures and Fall Protection

• What’s Coming From Cat: Designed Safety

• Aggregate Equipment Demonstration

This safety seminar may fulfill MSHA’s requirements for Part 46 training.

The evening of Nov. 2, Caterpillar dealers have offered to host a reception dinner at the Edwards Demonstration and Learning Center.

Attendees who would like to attend this dinner must arrive at the Par-A-Dice Hotel & Casino in East Peoria before 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 2. Bus transportation leaving from the hotel will be provided for this reception dinner.

Additionally, all attendees are invited to join us for the IAAP’s Safety Committee meeting at 1 p.m. on Nov. 2 inside the Par-A-Dice Hotel.

To ensure seminar program quality, seminar enrollment is limited to the first 100 people registering.
