The 2015 Minnesota Fall Maintenance Expo was held on October 7 to 8 in St. Cloud, Minn., and attracted 2,000-plus attendees from across the midwest. The two-day event featured 52 outdoor equipment vendors and 90 indoor exhibitors, featuring almost every product imaginable for fall and winter maintenance needs. Classroom sessions focused on retirement planning, the uses and benefits of MDSS (Maintenance Decision Support System), AVL (automatic vehicle location), improving communication skills and what’s trending in winter maintenance operations. Other activities included the annual snow “Roadeo” competition, with 88 drivers competing for the top spot and a skid steer competition, which drew 77 contestants over the two-day event.
