Close to 3,000 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers’ multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in Chicago, Ill., on March 21.

Bidders came from more than 40 countries, including 46 U.S. states. More than 57 percent of the equipment was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as Guatemala, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. Online bidders purchased 45 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

In total, more than 1,100 equipment items were sold in the auction, including crawler tractors, excavators, skid steer loaders, compactors and more.
