Ritchie Reels in More Than 1,900 Bidders at Md. Auction

On Aug. 25, more than 1,900 bidders participated online or in person at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers’ multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in North East, Md.

Bidders came from more than 50 countries, including 49 U.S. states. Approximately 90 percent of the equipment was sold to buyers outside the state, from as far away as Colombia, Chile, Indonesia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Online bidders purchased approximately 34 percent of the equipment sold.

The auction featured approximately 1,600 equipment items and trucks, including 50 hydraulic excavators, 45 loader backhoes, more than 30 crawler tractors, more than 25 articulated dump trucks, more than 40 truck tractors and 70 pick-up trucks.
