Sims Crane & Equipment Company, provider of crane and equipment rental services, announced the promotion of Kurt Kuffermann to vice president, general manager of operations. He will oversee the day-to-day operations of all departments located at the Tampa headquarters, including dispatch, shop, service, parts and yard activities. He also will serve as coordinator to branch operations across the state.
Kuffermann joined the company in 1983 as a salesman in Bradenton. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a manager in the Orlando office in 1986. His latest role was as branch manager of the Miami offices.
Keith Lester takes over Kuffermann’s former position. Lester will assume responsibility for operations of the Miami branch and the South Florida region.
