Utility One Source (UOS) celebrated the successful completion of their inaugural industry event, the ICUEE Demo Expo, held September 29-October 1, 2015, in Louisville, Kentucky. Launching the company’s unified brand at the show, UOS displayed over 50 pieces of equipment across 15 booths, including 13 vendor booths. Three of the units displayed were part of the company’s Giving Back Program, a pink Personnel Carrier to honor the Susan G. Komen association and a Digger Derrick and Track-Mounted Aerial to honor the Fallen Linemen organization; proceeds from the rental revenue received on these units go towards the esteemed organizations. According to the company, UOS established an impressive presence at the show, and was well received by attendees, even hosting over 900 industry professionals at their downtown VIP event, held on the first day of the show.

UOS came on the scene in February of this year, when Blackstone announced its creation as the industry’s first-ever utility equipment platform, in an initial partnership with three family-owned companies, Custom Truck and Equipment, Forestry Equipment of Virginia-FEVA, and Utility Fleet Sales; UCO Equipment and TNT Equipment, two more family operations, joined the partnership shortly thereafter. UOS, with a combined 17 locations nationwide, collectively offers sales, rentals, parts and aftermarket services, remanufacturing, customized equipment and transportation. Utility One Source will build upon the market positions of each legacy company, while serving as a single source supplier for the utility and heavy equipment Industries.

Leveraging Blackstone’s significant resources and expertise, the platform’s efforts are coordinated by Chairman Chris Ragot, whose comprehensive professional background includes serving as Group President of Terex, Vice President and General Manager of Ingersoll-Rand Europe, and in many other CEO positions at both public and private companies.
